American politicians

According to a survey by the Quinnipiac Polling Institute of 1,900 voters, the most popular politicians are, in this order: 1. Rudy Guiliani, 2. Barack Obama, 3. John McCain, 4. Condoleeza Rice, 5. Bill Clinton, and further down the list at #8, Hillary Clinton.

George Bush and Dick Cheney were much, much less popular.

I am curious who the other 4 politicians in the top ten were, but I can already draw some conclusions from this list. Americans favor people who are charismatic and well-spoken. With the possible exception of Rice, it would seem that Americans favor politicians with a good sense of humor, ones who can hold their own with David Letterman or Jon Stewart. Oh, and they like people who can talk a good game to the moderates of the country, not those screaming liberals like Barbara Boxer or neofascists like Rick Santorum, whose only useful contribution to humanity was to supply us with a new sex word.
