Weddings, pregnancy cover-ups, and more

Hell may have frozen over. Girlsnqueers is officially “off the market” as they say, ladies. As a side note: Man, is that a terrible expression. And yet, probably about the most accurate description of dating ever. Anyway, congratulations to her and to Margaret! I am so happy for you both. You complement each other well.

Apparently, Sarah Palin’s youngest child (you know, the one she’s such a martyr for having, because he has Down Syndrome) may not be her child. Apparently she’s a big liar and probably covering up for the 16-year-old daughter, who was probably the one who got knocked up. How very Bree Hodge of her. Bree Hodge is a gun-toting nutjob too, and I wouldn’t want her running the country either.

Also, this morning, while trying to get to the aforementioned wedding, we had a small meltdown as virtually everything went wrong. As the wedding was about to start, Kaphine leaned into me and told me she just realized today is her dead dad’s birthday. Which, you know, can’t possibly have affected anything consciously, but probably wasn’t an accident either.

And then we heard beautiful readings about lovingkindness, as part of the Buddhist wedding ceremony. The amazing thing about attending weddings after you’ve been married is that that each other feels like a re-affirmation of your own vows, of your own desire to keep trying to get it right. And on this particular morning, we needed to be reminded of ours.
