It’s like a watching a trainwreck

I can’t stay away from political news stories and political discussions on message boards. I can’t seem to stop writing about politics and posting links. Yet all this politics is making me anxious and irritable.

I’d like to be induced into a coma right up until Election Day, please. Then I’ll wake up, go vote, and cross my fingers that this country has a chance to get back on the right track.

  1. I am *so* with you there, RSG. I can’t stop watching.

  2. It all started on a stormy night in August, 2000. I awoke from my mid-evening nap after a crashing-bore of a day at work, and I turned on my TV. There, simple and addictive, was The Daily Show: Indecision 2000. I would later realize I was hooked, and 8 years later I become more and more reliant on that show for my weekly (if not daily) cup of political discontent. Now I watch CNN and other news outlets, read the Huffington Post and NY Times, more or less so I’ll catch the full humor behind Jon Stewart’s jokes – and indirectly to be more informed about what other people think is going on in the world around us. I’ve been losing sleep, feels like I’m losing time just keeping up with it all – but it’s delicious!

In the off hours I watch CSI with Sarah and Grissom.

    Choo-choo!!
